I spent a few days with my friend in Bratislava and Vienna ♥
We went to Bratislava by bus with the company Student Agency for like 10 Euros.
Even though there were two big signs on the building of our hostel, we missed it two times before we finally found the entrance.
We paid about 14 Euros per night in a six- bedded room. We chose hostel Blues because it was the cheapest option and we couldn't have chosen better! Amazing view, right in the center, kind people and it was really clean.
We also liked the arrangement of the rooms! On each floor, there were two famous cities, in which you could find the room numbers for better orientation. We stayed in London.
The receptionist was very helpful and even though I thought I'd understand Slovak without any problems because our languages are pretty similar, there were moments I had no idea what the man on the reception was talking about.
There was just one disadvantage of the nice view, which you can see in the picture. The little church rang every fifteen minutes. Every few minutes there passed a tram and when you also share the room with a snoring man it's not the best place to sleep. But if I ever visit Bratislava again I'd definitely chose hostel Blues again!

Bratislava is actually a very little city so we could walk everywhere without using public transport. Although we went there in May, the weather was pretty terrible. It rained, it was cold and it was extremely windy. But I think we discovered some very nice restaurants because of that!
We really liked the Gorilla urban store, where the picture on the right was taken. As a bookworm, I really appreciated, that the second half of the restaurant was a bookshop with amazing decoration. Urban Store, which we found a few streets further was also full of books and good food. And Káva Bar, a little café, which we found on the way to the Bratislava castle. When you enter this place, the first thing you notice is the beautiful sketches on the chalk walls. And the delicious coffee ♥.

On the first day, we managed to walk through the whole city, because it's really little. The second day we took part in one of the free tours, which took us again through the whole city. Maybe I wouldn't even call it a city, but it's the capital of Slovakia so...
The tour took two and a half hour and guess what? It rained all the time! I was so thankful I didn't leave my umbrella at home as I wanted to!
We really liked the Bratislava castle, where a food festival took place and the amazing view. The Blue church, which really looks awesome and is really all blue, what a surprise! St. Michael's gate, under the gate you can find a compass with big cities and the number of kilometers they are away from Bratislava. The statue of the working man near the gate. the legend says when you touch him your wish comes true. The Hviezdoslav square, the meeting point for the free tours with the beautiful little park. And you really shouldn't miss the bridge that looks like a ufo!

The accommodation in Vienna was too expensive, so we went to Vienna two times with the train and then left with Student agency for like 10 Euros again. The journey took one hour with the train.
Vienna is in contrast to Bratislava pretty big, so we used the underground this time. We wanted to go to the Museum of art and history, where students could go for free. On the way we came across many beautiful buildings we knew about from our Art lessons. It's much more interesting to see them for real than to listen to the history of them for ages. It's really worth it to go to the Belvedere, to the Palace of secession and to visit one of the many museums. To a lot of them, you can go for free as a student or at least there are a lot of price reductions.
When we went to the bus stop with our bags we made a little stop at the Hard rock café, where we bought super expensive but extremely delicious fruit drinks!
The way to the Student Agency bus stop looked short on google maps, but in reality, it was super long, really. And we got lost a few times, but luckily we thought something like that could happen so we had enough time. When we got to the place, we went to a shopping center nearby. It was all empty with just a few people cleaning or repairing something next to the closed shops. At home, we found out it was a holiday in Austria. You should really google the holidays in the country you want to visit! There are many super beautiful places in Vienna, yes, but I don't feel a need to come back, it's too big for me and I just didn't feel the magic like in Bratislava.
